The Author

Rachel Decorte

Rachel grew up in Sydney, Australia where she spent most of her childhood days going to ballet lessons and eating crusty bread rolls filled with some strange Italian cured meat. Her family ethnicity ties her back to Northern Italy and Peru, which has surely played a role in her love of good food and ability to convey a passionate argument. Rachel trained and worked professionally as a classical ballet dancer for 16 years before meeting and falling in love with an Itlalian chef named Manu. Manu's love of food inspired Rachel to attain a degree in Nutrition, which now heavily plays a role in their day to day lives.

Rachel’s interest include cooking, photography and film making, nutrition, styling, DIY projects, yoga and anything vintage. You can always find her with a camera in hand on a sunny afternoon exploring the fields of Sant’Oliva looking for the newest burst of wild flowers with her sidekick farm dog ‘Mortadella’ by her side.
